Who is this guy that claims to be an artist and creative..?
Picture
Jeremy Farson began his life in Los Angeles but spent his formative years in two California coastal towns, The well known village of La Jolla and Bolinas, a small town stuck in time just north of San Francisco. Ultimately to graduate from La Jolla High, he returned north to attend UC Santa Cruz to find a path in painting and printmaking.

Mind set on studying fine art, he thought to step it up and transfer to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in his junior year. Deciding that winters in Santa Cruz were friendlier than spending another chilly winter in a school rife with cool, pretentious artists, he transferred back to UCSC to complete his senior year and graduate with a BA in Fine Art. After two years working odd jobs and painting he applied and was accepted to grad school in Oakland, CA to received an MFA from the California College of the Arts.

       (Continued,,,)

Jeremy moved to the Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco and found work in a mural painting studio. He practiced full-time for a couple of years painting large scale murals, mostly for hotels and casino’s such as; Caesar’s Palace, the MGM Grand, Harrah’s, and Disney. He left San Francisco to pursue an independent art career in San Diego. He found reasonable success, exhibiting in galleries and selling paintings to residences and corporate businesses such as; Nokia, Merck Pharmaceuticals, the Bellagio, Ritz Carlton and Fairmont Hotels, Luce Forward and City National Bank.

In 2003 he joined forces with a few friends to open the Cassius King Gallery in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. This hip, underground venue lasted nearly two years and showed great up and coming artists and bands from around the nation. Since then Jeremy has found comfort teaching with the wonderful people of High Tech High International. All the while he continues to paint, play music, travel and surf.

Since retiring from teaching in 2024, Jeremy is working on a variety of art and building projects. "I hope to use all I have learned to make progress as a professional artist and thrive as an independent creative..

CLAIMS TO FAME

Who has recommended Jeremy with their vote of confidence..?
Designer/filmmaker Saul Bass wrote a recommendation letter for Jeremy as he applied to graduate school

Saul Bass
Bass worked for some of Hollywood's most prominent filmmakers, including Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger, Billy Wilder, Stanley Kubrick, and Martin Scorsese. Among his best known title sequences are the animated paper cut-out of a heroin addict's arm for Preminger's The Man with the Golden Arm, the credits racing up and down what eventually becomes a high-angle shot of a skyscraper in Hitchcock's North by Northwest, and the disjointed text that races together and apart in Psycho.
Who are Jeremy's heroes and how has he connected...?
Jeremy created a lithographic portrait of Theodor Geisel (aka, Dr. Seuss), mailed it to him and received this response
